MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The National Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring access to care for appropriate patients with a defined customer list. This includes developing and maintaining permissive coverage policies with payers, identifying and removing reimbursement barriers for sites of care, and engaging other national accounts that impact patient access. Customer types will include national payers (commercial and government), key regional payers, clinical pathway companies, relevant PBMs (Pharmacy Benefit Managers), and national accounts such as Veteran’s Administration (VA), GPOs (Group Purchasing Organizations), and Kaiser.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver value proposition and educate payer stakeholders on current and future product/indications and economic benefit and reimbursement.

Facilitate meetings and network with national account contacts to ensure product access.

Account management of select key national accounts, identifying ways to partner that ensure product access and provider education.

Execute Immunocore identified managed market initiatives to a high level of achievement.

Demonstrate national account knowledge and leadership to liaise with internal stakeholders (including cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, Trade, and Sales Leadership teams).

Communicate effectively with the commercial team on relevant market trends.

Operate in full compliance with company policies, local codes of conduct and ethics, corporate governance, and applicable law, including FDA’s guidance on communications with payors, formulary committees, and similar entities.

Provide Health Care Economic Information (HCEI) to payers, collaborating with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.

Implement business in accordance with the highest ethical, legal, and compliance standards, including timely and successful completion of all required training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and KNOWLEDGE

Essential Qualifications:

10+ years of demonstrated experience and proven success in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.

5+ years of successful experience with large national accounts, including payers, PBMs, and GPOs.

Existing relationships with assigned accounts are critical.

Relevant Oncology and Rare Disease/Orphan Drug experience with buy and bill products.

Proven credibility in gaining access to key decision makers and influencers.

Field sales management experience preferred.

Experience in product launches and execution of launch strategies.

Strong financial, analytical, account management, and negotiation skills.

Leadership and networking skills.

Action-oriented with a sense of urgency and professionalism.

Experience leading high-powered teams without direct management responsibility.

Ability to manage and measure results/performance.

Strong financial and budget management skills.

Bachelor’s degree – BA/BS required.

Other Requirements:

Home office-based with an average of 20% travel.

Proximity to a major airport.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to fly and/or drive to meet target customers.

Additional travel for meetings, trainings, and programs as necessary.

Salary Range (US):

This position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, time off, 401k, and participation in annual incentive plans. Compensation varies based on location, experience, education, and skills.

$165,000 - 213,000
