About the Substation Engineer - Senior position
ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Senior Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Engineering team.
Candidates must have direct experience with Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Substation Projects. Ability to work within engineering design standards and quality programs specific to client needs and requirements. Project Management skills and ability to meet critical deadlines is required. Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence.
Technical Responsibilities:
Substation Electrical Engineering
Substation Electrical One-Line, AC and DC Elementary, Wiring and Interconnection, Cable Schedules, Material Lists, SCADA and RTU
Relay Protection Settings, Relay Control Settings, Relay Wiring
Substation Engineering
Substation General Arrangement, Control House Layout, Panel Design, Plans and Sections, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Conduit Layout, Material List, Construction Specifications
Prepare calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
Support engineering and design related to Civil/Structural; including structural drawings, foundation drawings, foundation and steel calculations.
Project Engineering Responsibilities:
Project Planning, Organization, Estimating, Scheduling, Coordinating and Monitoring of work activities
Strong client focus and customer service
Excellent communication skills
Plan engineering project deliverables with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) is preferred, will accept candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to Professional Engineering licensure.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience electric utility industry
Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Travel up to 10% may be required
