The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, specifying, programming, simulating, testing, and assisting with the start-up of automation and control systems for our

You will play a key role in the ingenuity of our equipment design and in finding optimal solutions for our customers, who are leading manufacturers in the pharmaceutical, food, beverage, and consumer products industries. Generate programs for labeling systems and other equipment as required Create documentation to support assembly, testing, debugging, and future servicing of equipment Collaborate with automation, electrical, and mechanical engineers, as well as sales staff and customers, to understand project scope Evaluate and recommend hardware and software components for projects What’s in it for you? Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent Experience with multi-axis motion control programming Ability to work on complex projects and mentor less experienced engineers Experience with high-speed automated machinery Independent work capability with limited supervision Proven skills in structured text programming Experience with B&R Automation Studio preferred Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs (CompactLogix, ControlLogix) Understanding of machine communication protocols (OPC-UA, Powerlink, Ethernet IP) HMI programming experience, preferably with B&R mappView and Allen Bradley Factory Talk SE/ME Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills SQL database experience is a plus About Pro Mach, Inc.
