Plumber
The Plumber responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of all plumbing systems and related infrastructure on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of Plumbing Systems:
Install, assemble, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems in accordance with building codes and safety standards.
Routine Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure functionality and efficiency. Identify issues such as leaks, clogs, or faulty components and carry out timely repairs.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Diagnose plumbing problems using specialized tools and techniques and determine the most effective solutions.
Water Heater and Pump Maintenance:
Install and service water heaters, pumps, valves, and pressure regulators as required by facility needs.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all plumbing work complies with local codes, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies, including burst pipes, blockages, and flooding incidents, minimizing downtime and water damage.
System Upgrades:
Recommend and implement upgrades or modifications to improve plumbing system efficiency and performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and parts replaced. Report major issues or ongoing concerns to the maintenance supervisor or facility manager.
Collaboration and Support:
Coordinate with other trades (e.g., electricians, carpenters) and departments during installation or repair projects. Provide plumbing support during construction, renovation, or relocation of facilities as needed.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper use, care, and storage of plumbing tools and equipment. Qualifications/Skills and Experience Experience in Plumbing, maintenance, breakdown and installations Working Conditions Position based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site. Compensation Package 1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
