Controls Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer with hands-on experience in Industrial Automation and Systems Integration. The ideal candidate will have work experience and knowledge of PLC and HMI applications, capable of designing and debugging programs for various automation projects. Responsibilities include: Designing and debugging PLC and HMI programs for industrial automation systems. Applying knowledge in automation controls, machine controls, process controls, electrical design, and process engineering. Utilizing skills in networking, device communications, integration, and design. Troubleshooting automation systems effectively. Qualifications: B.S. in Engineering required; Master’s degree is a plus. Experience with at least 2+ PLC platforms and 2+ HMI platforms. Preferred experience with Allen-Bradley (FactoryTalk View), GE/Emerson (iFix, Cimplicity), and Aveva (Wonderware, Indusoft/Aveva Edge). Hands-on troubleshooting skills. US Citizenship or Green Card required. Additional Skills: Knowledge of Rockwell Automation, RSLogix 5000/500/5, Studio, Siemens S7, and related automation software. Experience with C#, .NET, Visual Basic, servo controls, motion controls, sensors, AutoCAD, and electrical design tools. Understanding SCADA and HMI packages such as Intellution and Wonderware.
