Overview
RWB Consulting Engineers is seeking a
Mechanical Design Engineer
to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in our Dallas, TX office.

Position Description Responsible for supporting the design and analysis of HVAC systems; preparation of HVAC production drawings from beginning to end, with drafting and modeling in AutoCAD and Revit; utilize Carrier HAP hourly cooling and heating load analysis programs to complete assigned tasks; use national energy code compliance software for ASHRAE 90.1 and IECC; apply in-depth knowledge of Excel for various calculation and graphing requirements; conduct submittal reviews, as well as site visits both prior to and during design and construction phases; utilize and apply knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Blue Beam, local/state/national HVAC mechanical system codes, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Finite Element Analysis, Gantt Chart, heat transfer analysis, data visualization and analysis, 3D modeling, scanning to 3D, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting engineering drawings to perform assigned duties; and design mechanical HVAC systems for a variety of project types, including primary and higher education institutions, municipal buildings, places of worship, business offices, medical facilities, data centers, office/warehouses, high/low-rise long-term care facilities, food service facilities, retail, and other commercial buildings.

Salary : $74,000 per year
Minimum Qualifications Education : Bachelor's Degree – Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
Training : None
Experience : None
Other Requirements : Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework or research work that included the use of all the following: heat transfer analysis, data visualization and analysis, 3D modeling, scanning to 3D, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and drafting engineering drawings. Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
