The Certified Payroll Manager oversees all aspects of payroll compliance for public works and government-funded construction projects. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, certified payroll reporting, and adherence to prevailing wage laws, union agreements, and fringe benefit requirements. The manager will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies to maintain full compliance and support audits. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (preferred). Minimum 5 years of payroll experience in the construction industry, including certified payroll and union payroll. Strong knowledge of prevailing wage laws and public works compliance. Proficiency in payroll systems (QuickBooks, Sage, LCP Tracker). Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
