About the Role
Thomson Reuters is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineering Manager to lead our CoCounsel Platform DevOps team. In this role, you’ll oversee a range of projects focused on cloud migrations, security and compliance initiatives, new market expansion and environment optimization—helping to deliver a world-class experience for our Customers. As a Manager, DevOps Engineering, CoCounsel, you will: Leadership & Strategy:
Define the technical roadmap for DevOps practices, aligning with broader business objectives. Lead a team of DevOps engineers, setting goals, reviewing performance, and fostering professional growth. Technical Oversight:
Provide high-level guidance on AWS, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), CICD practices and IaC (CloudFormation). Ensure secure, compliant architectures aligned with Thomson Reuters standards. Operations Management:
Oversee CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, implementing best practices for availability, scalability, and observability. Coordinate with Platform Stakeholders across Service Management and InfoSec organizations. Team Development:
Mentor engineers on DevOps methodologies, infrastructure management, and modern development practices. Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages learning and innovation. About You
You are a fit for the role Manager, DevOps Engineering, CoCounsel, if your background includes: 7+ years in a combination of software development and operations (DevOps), with at least 3 years in engineering leadership or management roles. Demonstrated track record of building and leading high-performing DevOps teams. Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and IaC (CloudFormation, Terraform or equivalents). Proven proficiency in production-grade Python services (beyond scripting/ML prototypes), with an understanding of type systems or statically typed languages as a plus. Able to balance long-term vision with immediate deliverables, prioritizing high-impact initiatives. Effective at guiding cross-functional discussions, translating technical concepts for stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in large-scale AWS migrations or transformations. Experience with a variety of DevOps tooling (CI/CD patterns, IaC, monitoring solutions, etc.). What’s in it For You? Hybrid Work Model:
