Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense – the data evolution - by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers. HII, Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer to lead strategic initiatives in Command, Control, and Communications (C3) and spectrum management. This role blends technical expertise with policy leadership, ensuring our RF systems meet mission-critical requirements while aligning with national and international spectrum regulations. Strategic Direction : Shape the technical roadmap for RF systems supporting C3 operations, including frequency planning, waveform development, and interoperability. Policy Guidance : Interpret and influence spectrum policies (FCC, NTIA, ITU) to ensure compliance and operational flexibility. Spectrum Oversight : Manage spectrum allocation, licensing, and usage across projects and platforms, optimizing performance and minimizing interference. Technical Leadership : Provide engineering oversight for RF system design, integration, and testing, especially in contested or congested environments. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with policy makers, program managers, and system architects to align RF engineering with strategic goals. Innovation & Research : Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., 5G, SDR, mmWave, SATCOM) for integration into future C3 architectures. Minimum Qualifications

7 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field Deep understanding of RF propagation, modulation techniques, and spectrum allocation frameworks. Familiarity with regulatory bodies and standards (FCC, NTIA, ITU). Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Preferred Requirements

Experience with military or aerospace RF systems. Knowledge of cognitive radio, dynamic spectrum access, or electronic warfare. Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
