Payroll Specialist
for an exciting opportunity with a global, high-growth client located in
San Diego, CA . This
hybrid
role offers the chance to work with a dynamic payroll and accounting team and contribute to the success of a thriving international organization. Position Overview:
The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing and administering payroll across multiple states and entities. This is a hands-on role that requires a detail-oriented, proactive, and collaborative professional. The position reports directly to the
Director of Global Payroll and Compensation . Key Responsibilities:
Process
multi-state semi-monthly payroll
for U.S. employees using
UltiPro
Post and reconcile
journal entries
and perform
balance sheet reconciliations
Enter payroll data and ensure accurate and timely processing
Reconcile
non-exempt timecards
using UltiPro Time & Attendance
Maintain payroll documentation and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from the payroll inbox with a 24-hour turnaround
Calculate and issue
manual paychecks
as needed
Assist with
international payroll coordination
and vendor updates
Support
ad hoc reporting
and special payroll-related projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
required
Multi-entity and multi-state payroll experience
is essential
Proficient in
UltiPro/UKG
payroll systems
Strong
Excel
and data management skills
Exceptional
attention to detail
and
organizational abilities
Excellent
communication and problem-solving
skills
Experience in
international payroll
and an
accounting background
is a plus

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
