Note:
If you are a PSCC Student and eligible for the Student Employment Program, you will be paid on experience and the rates are $14.00 (no experience), $15.00 (6 months experience) and $16.00 (9 months experience).
Position Summary The overall purpose of this job is to facilitate and deliver established HR training and development programs that align with the college's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. This position collaborates with internal stakeholders to support new employee onboarding, professional development, compliance training, and performance management initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
50%: Collaborate with the Executive Director, Human Resources, the Director, PACE, the QEP Director, and other stakeholders to facilitate and deliver established training programs as well as provide oversight of the Pellissippi Academy, support to the Cross Functional Talent Development Team and the Pellissippi State Trainer Academy (PSTA), to collaboratively facilitate Culture Orientation, New Manager Orientation, and schedule New Hire Technology Training sessions, etc.
15%: Assess training needs through collaboration with the Cross Functional Talent Development Team through surveys and consultations. Evaluate training effectiveness through surveys, assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
10%: Work with the HR Administrative Assistant, Event Services, and other stakeholders to coordinate logistics for HR training sessions (scheduling, communication, materials, etc.).
10%: Facilitate department-specific training and professional development opportunities and initiatives.
10%: Maintain training records to ensure compliance and accurate documentation.
5%: Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field. Advanced degree preferred; 2 years' experience in training and development, or HR-related roles.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Familiarity with adult learning principles
Experience in higher education or public sector training programs
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to assess training needs and measure outcomes
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or LMS platforms
Able to engage in the college's mission, vision, and values.
