Workday Payroll expertise

while overseeing payroll operations for both U.S. and Canadian employees. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and mentoring a growing payroll team, all while being a key partner to HR, Finance, and external vendors. If you thrive on leadership, collaboration, and making payroll more efficient and effective, this is the role for you. What You’ll Do Oversee all payroll accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory standards. Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members while managing performance and workflow. Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to streamline payroll processes and strengthen compliance. Ensure accurate end-to-end payroll processing for U.S. and Canadian team members. Manage payroll funding, garnishments, tax compliance, reconciliations, and audits. Leverage Workday to optimize payroll systems, integrations, and reporting. Identify and implement best practices to improve efficiency, automation, and scalability. Lead or support payroll-related projects, system updates, acquisitions, and policy enhancements. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of hands-on payroll management experience with

Workday Payroll . Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance in both the U.S. and Canada. Proven track record of leading payroll teams and driving process improvements. Experience with payroll accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPP certification a plus). Nice-to-Have Skills Experience managing payroll during system transitions or implementations. Familiarity with automation and reporting tools to enhance payroll efficiency.
