Job Title:

Senior Director, HR Business Partner – Coach Design, Global Marketing, Merchandising, Visual Experience Coach is a global fashion house founded in New York in 1941. This role reports to executive leaders and partners with brand leadership to build and execute talent strategies that drive innovation, operational excellence, and organizational resilience. The position is based in NYC or the surrounding area with in-office presence at the NYC HQ at least 3 days a week (Tuesday–Thursday) and includes people management responsibilities. Responsibilities and focus areas

Talent Management:

Develop and lead strategic talent plans to attract, develop, retain, and transition talent aligned with business strategy. Partner with HR leadership and Talent Management COE to assess internal and external talent, identify gaps, and implement solutions. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to address immediate and future talent needs. Organizational Development:

Lead enterprise-wide change management initiatives, advise senior leaders on team effectiveness, and ensure organizational design supports business objectives. Design and implement large-scale transformation initiatives including org design, communication, and resourcing plans. Strategic Workforce Planning & Org Design:

Drive strategic workforce planning and organizational design to enhance performance. Partner with Finance and senior leadership to manage compensation budgets and staffing plans, including oversight of temporary staffing. Coaching and Consulting:

Serve as a strategic advisor and executive coach to senior leaders; provide coaching to enhance individual and organizational effectiveness. Employee Engagement:

Lead enterprise-wide employee engagement strategies, including survey design, analysis, and action planning. Act as a cultural ambassador promoting the company’s vision, purpose, and values. HR Leadership:

Foster relationships across HR globally, advocate for HR COE partners, drive HR projects aligned with Tapestry’s global HR vision, and align policies and practices with a culture of focus, execution, values, and authenticity. Special Projects:

Lead or support high-impact, cross-functional initiatives (e.g., M&A integration, leadership development, culture transformation, enterprise capability building).

Required and preferred qualifications

12+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years partnering with senior leaders Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex legal and technical environments Expertise in organizational design, change management, talent planning, and leadership development Exceptional consultative and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at the executive level High integrity, judgment, and discretion Excellent communication and facilitation capabilities; effective project management Strong data analysis skills to identify trends and drive informed decisions Employment law, employee and labor relations expertise; strong people management experience
