Sales and Leadership Trainee

location. Pay for the
Sales and Leadership Trainee

Sales and Leadership Trainee . About the Program: The Sales & Leadership Development program is a multi-year rotational program designed to develop each trainee’s future by providing exposure to all aspects of our business. The program uses a structured approach to align your skills with your long-term career goals. Phase 1 to Phase 4 outline what you’ll accomplish during rotations through operations, counter sales, and sales roles, followed by career discussions with your Profit Center Manager. Phase 1 — Operations Learn about and perform work related to operations such as receiving and shipping material, processing returns, making deliveries, and maintaining trucks. Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions. Complete related online courses to support learning. Phase 2 — Counter Sales Learn counter sales, assist customers and teammates, process sales orders, provide product information, and maintain the display area. Participate in vendor product knowledge sessions. Gain experience with residential, commercial, and contractor customers. Phase 3 — Sales Engage in pricing and margin management, bids, quotes, submittals, product procurement, and job scheduling. Develop relationships with vendors. Join joint sales calls with outside salespersons. Phase 4 — Career Discussion Participate in an in-depth career discussion with your assigned Profit Center Manager to explore future paths. About You College degree or equivalent experience. Experience in customer service, sales, management, or leadership roles. Able to drive for company business: 18 years or older, valid driver’s license, driving record meeting company policy for Authorized Drivers. Our ideal candidate will also:
be able to build influential relationships, communicate effectively, work well in teams, and adapt to changing environments. Other key attributes include accuracy, prioritization, software proficiency, and a proactive learning mindset. Candidates should also be able to safely operate warehouse material-handling equipment and communicate in English. Basic math and product knowledge skills are expected, along with the ability to learn products sold in the Profit Center and to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for communication and data analysis.
