Overview
The Waldinger Corporation, a growing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is adding a full-time Payroll Specialist to our team! As a Payroll Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that hourly craft employees are paid accurately and timely for their work. This role requires advanced knowledge of payroll regulations, previous experience in payroll software or systems, and ability to demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving skills and internal customer service. Responsibilities
Process field payroll, the computation of pay, and associated deductions for accuracy. Responsible for accurate preparation, documentation, distribution, and reconciliation of payroll. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, local and federal legislation affecting payroll and understands and follows applicable provisions. Complete monthly union fringe reports Responds to and resolves any inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting. Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly. Qualifications
Associate degree in Accounting or a related field 2 years in a union construction payroll position preferred Excellent customer service skills An eye for detail and an analytical mindset Ability to take initiative and problem solve independently We Offer
