We have one of the largest dedicated field sales forces in both the hydraulics and pneumatics industries with 42 locations across the US and Canada. We are looking for a Payroll Specialist in our corporate headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to independently process multi-state and multi-provincial payroll from start to finish. Payroll responsibilities will cover biweekly and monthly processing timelines. In this role, you will be solely responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local regulations, and maintaining employee payroll records. The ideal candidate must be willing to collaborate closely with other departments. This role plays a critical part in ensuring employees are compensated accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

Prepares and processes end-to-end payroll and associated information for both US and Canada operations.

Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information and employee data.

Collates and verifies data and inputs into the payroll system (UKG).

Verifies Paid Time Off accruals and balances across all companies.

Setting up new employees in the payroll system.

Updates payroll records and processes routine changes to employee records.

Performs basic reconciliation and auditing processes during each pay cycle.

Producing federal, state and local tax payments and reports.

Prepare and distribute payroll records as needed for accounting and auditing purposes.

Responds to verifications of employment and wage garnishments

Responds to pay-related inquiries from employees.

Researches and resolves errors or omissions promptly and professionally.

May prepare and submit reports and forms required by IRS or other regulatory bodies.

Follows all processing procedures, adheres to policies, and maintains confidentiality.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll.

Works with other departments, such as Human Resources and Finance, to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing.

Requirements

Possess a professional, corporate appearance and attitude with a high regard to respect and confidentiality.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, operate within tight deadlines, and escalate issues as necessary.

Excellent attention to detail and organization.

Working experience in Excel

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Education and Experience

Minimum of three years working experience as a payroll specialist required.
