This role reports to the Director of Benefits. Position Summary The Benefits Administrator position is critical to the success of GT's Talent Services Benefits Team by assisting with the administration of large, multi-state, group and individual employee benefits plans, including healthcare, life, disability, FMLA, 401(k), along with supplemental and voluntary health and welfare benefits and Leave of Absence programs. Key Responsibilities Functions as a Benefits Ambassador through interactions with firm-wide Talent Services teams as well as attorneys, staff and vendors to efficiently communicates benefits initiatives and resolves benefits related issues in a timely manner through written and virtual means Assists with the development, administration and updating of internal processes to ensure effective departmental efficiency and compliance with federal, state and local laws Reconciles vendor invoices and interacts with vendors and consultants to ensure accurate plan administration Assists with implementation of new benefit plans and the administration of existing benefit plans, including but not limited to leave of absence, workers' compensation and annual open enrollment Effectively communicates with attorneys and staff to promote awareness, functionality and access of web-based administrative tools and resources related to our benefit programs Assists with Leave of Absence ensuring timely oversight of vendor, attorney and staff requirements for FMLA, STD, LTD and other state or internal leaves Works in an online environment with strong HCM skills in the Workday benefits module, Microsoft Teams or comparable and various virtual applications Qualifications Skills & Competencies Independent thinker, team-oriented, analytical with strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, maintains confidentiality, can work with minimal supervision and has excellent follow-up skills Ability to manage projects to meet strict deadlines and effectively prioritize multiple tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and presentation) combined with a professional demeanor Provide outstanding client service, meet high quality standards for services, and meet or exceed our internal client expectations; proactive in seeking and communicating innovative ways in which to help others and enhance or improve processes High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to manage time effectively Education & Prior Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development, or related field preferred Law firm or professional services experience preferred Wide scope of benefit administration knowledge for both fully insured and self-funded programs General understanding of health and welfare benefits including HIPPA, ACA COBRA, ERISA, and other legal requirements Technology Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly; Workday experience preferred Strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite programs and proven abilities in Workday benefits module and the ability to quickly learn new technologies GT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual’s race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
