Job Description
The Intake Coordinator provides information on services and supports for which the individual may be eligible. Specifically, new referrals are contacted and scheduled for assessment within appropriate time frames. The Intake Coordinator performs screenings for individuals seeking services and supports; provides an explanation of services and supports using DADS approved documents; triages immediate needs in response to crisis situations; conducts financial assessments and determines whether a request can be met with resources at the MRA or whether the individual will be directed to alternate resources in the community. Responsibilities
Maintains required productivity levels as outlined in Center policies. Documents clinical activities in the automated record keeping system within 24 hours of providing services. Performs financial assessments for consumers. Obtains release of information, consents, and other necessary forms during the intake process. Maintains records pertaining to HCS Medicaid waiver programs. Maintains confidentiality of information concerning consumers and family members. Participates in regularly scheduled supervision, team and unit staff meetings. Maintains complete, accurate and timely documentation. Provides information on community resources, family systems and service delivery systems. Maintains charts, benches and training, as required. Performs other job duties as assigned. Competencies

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma. Billing and coding experience or formal education as Medical Office Assistant. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Basic math skills required for this position. Ability to work with reports and numbers. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Medical Office Assistant Certificate Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment. Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Centers liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business. Must have an acceptable driving record. Physical Demands
