LiveOnNY is a federally designated organ procurement organization (OPO) dedicated to honoring, saving, and transforming lives through organ and tissue donation. As a member of our mission-driven nonprofit, you’ll work with more than 100 hospitals to support organ and tissue donors and their families—helping to bring the gift of life to those on the national transplant waitlist. LiveOnNY serves a diverse population of 13 million across New York City and the counties of Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, and Rockland and is among the highest-performing OPOs in the country. This is an in-office role.

Responsibilities

Process payroll and maintain related records, establish new codes and tax jurisdictions

Process involuntary and voluntary deductions and reconciliations; balance and control earnings and deduction totals

Inspect automated system outputs (registers and standard reports); determine and correct out-of-balance conditions

Prepare and balance quarterly and year-end reports (e.g., 941, W-2s, W-3s); handle filings for 1099s

Understand and apply payroll software and accounting software; work closely with other departments and external auditors to strengthen payroll internal controls

Maintain detailed attention to accuracy; demonstrate strong mathematical, time management, and multitasking skills

Provide excellent communication and problem-solving support; respond to team member payroll questions and resolve errors promptly

Process tuition reimbursement, student loan payments, and other PCN-driven payments; process company mileage reimbursements

Collaborate with Human Resources on UKG records, tuition reimbursement, bonuses, and related inquiries

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws

Prepare and audit W-2s and regulatory forms for accuracy; reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax reports; provide data for general ledger

Maintain proficiency in UKG by taking courses and updates offered

Assist with audits by providing records and documentation to auditors as needed

Support process improvement initiatives and automation opportunities within payroll and related processes

Contribute to annual budget development and quarterly financial projections

Qualifications Education Required:

Associate degree in accounting or finance required; substitutions with work experience or certifications considered

Certified Payroll Professional Certification strongly preferred

Experience

5 to 10 years of full-cycle payroll processing for a large company

3 years of experience with UKG payroll services

Experience participating in 403(b) plans and financial audits

Salary Range:

$70,000 – $80,000 annually
