Human Resources Manager
to join our team in
Lee's Summit, MO .
Position Responsibilities:
Liaison between Contract and Corporate employees;
Benefits administration including communication of benefit information;
Organize annual open enrollment;
Carry out recruitment efforts for all entry-level external candidates;
Use creative methods for candidate outreach;
Announce and conduct interviews for internal position vacancies;
Provide new employee orientation;
Administer ethics and sexual harassment training programs;
Perform employee counseling to address performance or personal concerns;
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations;
Conduct internal investigations of alleged wrongdoing, suggest options for resolution, and implement resolutions;
Coach supervisors on communication improvements with subordinates;
Work with supervisors to identify opportunities for employee engagement;
Monitor progress of employees with performance issues and ensure timely feedback;
Coordinate, review, and submit all Federal Investigation paperwork;
Train HR staff on reviewing, completing, and submitting Federal Investigation paperwork;
Serve as Point of Contact for investigation requests;
Review and approve timesheets with supervisor input;
Review and approve or deny leave requests;
Manage FMLA and ADA accommodation requests;
Ensure Service Contract Act compliance;
Review invoices for accuracy before submission;
Verify employment information;
Reconcile leave accounts;
Plan employee events such as holiday gatherings and award ceremonies.
Position Requirements:
U.S. Citizen;
Valid U.S. Driver’s License;
Authorization to work in the U.S.;
Ability to pass drug screening and background check;
Active security clearance preferred but not required;
Minimum B.S. Degree;
SHRM Certifications such as PHR, SPHR preferred;
Minimum of eight years’ progressive federal contractor HR experience, including responsibilities listed above;
Knowledge of payroll processing; Deltek, CostPoint, and Fidelity experience preferred;
Knowledge of government regulations such as SCA and Davis Bacon;
Ability to foster a collaborative, professional, and thriving team environment;
Experience interpreting employment, benefits, and payroll regulations;
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
Creative problem-solving skills and initiative-driven mindset;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Willingness to travel for site visits as necessary.
