Overview

Human Resources Manager — Transdev North America, Brisbane, CA. This position supports the management team with full-cycle recruiting and other HR-related responsibilities. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Key Responsibilities

Creates a strategic partnership with operating management in day-to-day operational activities, including development of strategies and initiatives on human resource policies and practices. Administers, assists and monitors interpretation and compliance of company policy and procedures, discipline, strategic employee relations, and relationship initiatives within a union and non-union environment. Leads development of employee handbooks and identifies strategic employee initiatives related to cost competitiveness, contract provisions, uniformity, and consistency in handbooks. Supports business needs with HIPAA/PHI, SOC2 audits, employee relations, hiring, employee engagement, and promotes a safe, respectable and fair work environment. Maintains current information and literature relating to employee handbooks, recognition programs, employee files, and other HR files. Develops proactive employee relations strategies with operating management for both union and non-union salaried, driver, and shop personnel, improving dispute resolution and open communication. Identifies, recommends, and implements employee relations best practices. Provides advice, support, and communications to branch managers on employee relations matters, data and contingencies, dispute resolution, handbook interpretation and administration, disciplinary matters, labor code, and human rights, utilizing legal resources when necessary. Maintains awareness of HR trends, practices, or legislation affecting employment-related programs, policies, or procedures. Directs and oversees payroll functions, accounts payable and fare collections. Manages and coordinates employment processes including pension, union dues, unemployment, workers’ compensation, disability and leave requests. Qualifications

Five or more years of relevant direct experience managing human resources and labor relations in a public transit service. Administering a collective agreement. Experience with recruitment, terminations, benefits and compensation, and maintaining employee files. Experience as a labor relations specialist responsible for education, training, and outreach to employees. Other relevant HR qualifications. Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical where applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 compliance. Physical Requirements

Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules as needed. The role involves long periods of sitting, typing, and working at a computer. Work environment may be indoors and outdoors. About Transdev
