Fluidra is looking for a
Senior Mechanical Engineer
to join our team in
Carlsbad, CA.
What you will contribute We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of experience that is familiar with plastic part design and hydraulic principles. This is an in-person role at our Carlsbad, CA office. The ideal candidate will have experience designing commercial and/or OEM products with injection molded plastic components, be familiar with manufacturing and production line environments, and have a customer focus mindset.
Additionally, you will:
Collaborate with our product managers and applications engineering team to design commercial and OEM products for the spa industry.
Be the key project leader in new product development
Be responsible for the success of new product development programs including product design, features, durability, performance and launch timing.
Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met.
Develop and document test plans, oversee testing and product qualification activities
Some domestic and international travel is required for visiting customers and supporting manufacturing activities. Travel rarely exceeds 3 weeks per year.
What we seek
7+ years of applicable experience
Expertise in SolidWorks 3D CAD modeling software
Experience working with international contract manufacturers
Plastics part design experience
Familiarity with hydraulics (water flow, nozzles, line restrictions, seal design, etc.)
Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Expected salary range is $125,000 - $145,000. Fluidra offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes base salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching, paid vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience and location.
