Accounting Manager
to oversee and manage all accounting functions. This is a key position and member of our leadership team that will have significant influence on the company's financial processes and long-term success. Position Overview:
As the
Accounting Manager , you will be the highest accounting professional within the company and will take ownership of all financial reporting, accounting functions, and internal controls. You will manage and develop a small accounting team, currently consisting of one Full-Time Employee, while ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role requiring proficiency in QuickBooks, along with a deep understanding of financial systems and processes. Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports for senior leadership. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and applicable laws and regulations. Review and maintain the general ledger to ensure proper classification of transactions. Monitor cash flow and work with management to develop cash management strategies. Collaborate with auditors for the preparation of annual financial audits and ensure all documentation is accurate and ready for review. Oversee and mentor the accounting team member, ensuring their continued development and alignment with company goals. Maintain and optimize QuickBooks for efficient financial reporting and integration with other business systems. Establish, implement, and refine internal controls to safeguard company assets. Provide guidance and recommendations on accounting-related matters to senior management. Assist in the development and implementation of financial systems and processes to support company growth. Work cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insight and ensure alignment with company objectives. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred, but not required). 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, ideally in a mid-sized, fast-growing company. Strong experience using QuickBooks for financial management and reporting. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Proven ability to manage and develop accounting teams and build a collaborative work environment. Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements. What We Offer:
