VP, Finance & Accounting/ CFO
— Score Sports is seeking a strategic financial leader to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. The Vice President of Finance & Accounting/CFO will oversee the Finance and Accounting teams, providing insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive leadership. This role is responsible for financial strategy, planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management across Score’s US and Mexico operations. Ideal candidates will have experience in the apparel manufacturing sector, scaling financial operations, managing investor relations, and implementing best-in-class financial systems and processes. About SCORE Sports Founded in 1975, SCORE has been a grassroots partner with club sports, providing uniforms and equipment for youth sports. SCORE supports multiple sports including soccer, flag football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, and more, with manufacturing facilities in North America to enable faster, high-quality custom uniforms. Minimum 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least five years in a senior leadership role. Experience in a private equity (PE) backed company, manufacturing, and/or apparel industries preferred. Proven track record of scaling a company to $100M+ in revenue. Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic planning. Strong experience with investor relations. Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and data analytics tools. In-depth knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Exceptional leadership and strategic thinking abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executive decision-making. Analytical mindset with a detail-oriented approach to financial management. Ability to adapt to dynamic internal and external business conditions. High degree of integrity, ethics, and professional accountability. CPA or MBA preferred. Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and oversee financial strategies that align with the company\'s growth objectives. Lead the development of financial plans, annual budgets, and multi-year financial forecasts. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and executive team to optimize revenue, profitability, and capital allocation. Monitor financial trends, market conditions, and competitor performance to drive strategic decision-making. Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards. Oversee external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance to mitigate risks and maintain transparency. Establish internal financial controls and policies to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with legal teams and external advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations. Cost & Risk Management: Develop and implement cost optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, ensuring business continuity and resilience. Partner with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to improve cost structures and financial performance. Lead enterprise risk management initiatives, including insurance, credit risk, and financial hedging strategies. Capital Management & Investor Relations: Manage capital structure, fundraising, and financial partnerships to support business growth. Oversee relationships with banks, private equity firms, and investors, ensuring transparency and confidence in financial performance. Lead financial due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. Optimize cash flow management, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance and Accounting teams to drive high performance and collaboration. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability within the finance function. Implement best practices in financial management, reporting, and operational efficiency. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the finance team. Pay & Benefits
Score Sports offers competitive pay and benefits. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K. Base salary range is $220,000 to $300,000 depending on experience.
