Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role will involve managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as supervising a team of accountants. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and manage budgets and forecasts. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support. Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with internal controls. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management. Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and communication skills. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco notes the salary range for the role as follows: $95-115k. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan.
