A leading NYC real estate firm is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant – this is a unique opportunity to take ownership of core accounting functions, collaborate cross-functionally, and play a key role in supporting the company’s financial strength and operational success. Company Information:

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and work paper packages Prepare General Ledger reconciliations Support and collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis personnel in tracking and reporting key organizational metrics including but not limited to monthly budget, actual variance analysis and cash flow projections Internal Collaboration: Liaise with internal and external partners for timely preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, general reporting, and tax planning Liaise across departments to gather and provide accounting information for budgets Support and collaborate with Controller and Director of Project Accounting to enhance internal controls, identify growth opportunities, and improve profitability through process automation Assist in managing Treasury functions including bank reconciliations, cash disbursements, and cash flow projections Facilitate completion of annual financial audit Prepare and maintain monthly CM fee calculation schedules Manage 1099 processing Accountant Team Management: Train staff in Timberline, supervise staff, manage staff cost job allocations, perform annual evaluations Design, establish, and implement internal policies and procedures Requirements / Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred 5+ years of experience; MBA / CPA preferred Experience within construction industry and with Timberline is a MUST Experience with Avid Pay and advanced knowledge of Sage 300 Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF, OR, AND) Proficient in managing all accounting functions for projects, including journal entries, cash receipts, general ledger management, month-end closing, accruals, bank reconciliations, and audit preparations Ability to prepare accurate monthly bank reconciliations and research unrecorded transactions Effective use of accounting software including Sage 300, Timberscan, Excel, Concur Knowledge of month-end close processes and reporting requirements for lenders and investors
