Rapidly growing behavioral healthcare organization looking to add an accounting manager to their team. Position Summary The Accounting Manager reports directly to the Controller and plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of our behavioral health facilities from the corporate office. This position is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and providing financial support to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Execute revenue close procedures in accordance with US GAAP, including preparing revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses. Review full-cycle monthly pre-close and close entries, including statistical data inputs, for assigned behavioral health facilities. Prepare and analyze a variety of monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Participate in recurring month-end close activities. Assist with the integration of new acquisitions. Review and approve invoices for business operations. Provide support for the annual audit process. Analyze detailed monthly actual-to-budget variance reports to assist management in reviewing operational performance. Collaborate with Facility Leaders and Executive Management. Supervise, train, and develop senior and staff-level accounting personnel. Prepare monthly financial statements. Assist business leaders with the annual budget process. Conduct ad hoc business case analyses, including financial modeling and trend analysis. Perform financial analyses and special projects as needed. Provide financial data to shareholders upon request. Participate in process improvement initiatives, including the formalization of control procedures. Contribute to special integration projects. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5–7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record of increasing responsibilities in the healthcare industry. Experience in industry financial accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting. Familiarity with mergers and acquisitions and/or organic growth initiatives is a plus. Strong knowledge of GAAP compliance, including ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 350, and other technical accounting standards. Proficiency in financial systems, reporting packages, and Microsoft Office products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A team-oriented mindset. Ability to meet deadlines and work non-standard hours as needed. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, particularly during deadline-driven periods.
