This bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Lender to join their team and help continue to grow their footprint in Central Texas. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional with deep ties to the local market, a strong understanding of credit and underwriting, and a passion for community relationship banking. While the primary focus of this position is on commercial real estate lending, the ability to source and service residential real estate loans is a welcomed bonus (but not required). Key Responsibilities
Originate commercial real estate loans, including construction, investment, and owner-occupied properties Proactively develop new business through community involvement, referrals, and networking Analyze financial statements and real estate projects; prepare loan packages with appropriate risk assessment Work collaboratively with credit and underwriting teams to ensure sound lending decisions Assist in managing loan relationships from origination to closing and throughout the life of the loan Support a culture of excellence, integrity, and community engagement Stay current with local market trends and industry best practices Qualifications
5+ years of commercial lending experience with a focus on commercial real estate Deep knowledge of the Austin/Central Texas market Strong credit analysis and underwriting skills (Formal credit training a plus) Demonstrated ability to source, structure, and close deals up to $15 million (or higher, including participations) Proven relationship-building and portfolio management skills Knowledge of both commercial and residential real estate lending is advantageous Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills Why Join This Bank?
