Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Accounts Receivable Clerk
to join our Finance team in Charlotte. This role is critical in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and efficient management of receivables. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to accuracy and customer service.
Responsibilities
Process and post customer payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
Generate and distribute client invoices in accordance with contracts and company policies.
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports; follow up with clients regarding past-due balances.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client payment records.
Research and resolve payment discrepancies or billing issues.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations.
Collaborate with internal teams (Audit, Operations, Finance) to ensure accurate invoicing and collections.
Prepare reports on receivables status for management review.
Support external audits with necessary documentation and reports.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred), or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365 Business Central, AssetEdge, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
