You’re a strategic leader and hands-on problem solver who thrives at the intersection of quality, technology, and collaboration. You have a track record of building high-performing QA teams, scaling automation, and delivering products that customers can trust from day one. You’re as comfortable mapping out an automation roadmap in Playwright as you are mentoring your team to think beyond requirements and test for real-world scenarios. You value transparent processes, measurable results, and cross-functional alignment, and you know how to inspire a culture where quality isn’t just a department, it’s a mindset across the company. Key Responsibilities
The Senior Software QA Engineer Manager will lead the strategy, processes, and people that ensure product quality across our organization. This role combines hands-on expertise in automation with strategic leadership, driving excellence in both manual and automated testing. Define and enforce standardized QA processes, documentation, and best practices across all teams. Partner with Product and Development leaders to set quality goals, define acceptance criteria, and align testing strategies with business priorities. Develop and maintain standardized formats for test plans, test cases, and defect reports to improve cross-team collaboration. Own the QA automation roadmap, balancing manual and automated testing for maximum efficiency and coverage. Foster a high-performance QA culture focused on detail, accuracy, and a user-centric approach. Participate in requirements reviews for large projects/tickets to identify risks early. Execution & Delivery Oversee test planning, execution, and defect management, ensuring readiness and completeness for all releases. Drive adoption and optimization of automation frameworks (primarily Playwright) to improve speed, reliability, and scalability of testing. Collaborate with DevOps to ensure stable, consistent, and scalable test environments. Implement effective test data management processes to support accurate, repeatable testing. Document detailed, step-by-step QA procedures and ensure adoption. Ensure test plans are discussed during sprint planning and finalized prior to testing. Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop QA engineers, building a versatile team with strong cross-functional capabilities. Maintain a QA engineer’s skills matrix, deliver targeted training, and promote cross-training to strengthen expertise across product areas and Customer-Oriented Delivery (COD) teams. Establish and track QA productivity, quality, and automation coverage metrics, sharing insights with stakeholders. Introduce new tools, techniques, and frameworks to enhance QA efficiency and effectiveness. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to advance the organization’s quality standards. Deliver per sprint/release and monthly QA performance reports to leadership. Skill Sets
Technical Skills Automation Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Playwright or equivalent, and strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks. QA Methodologies: Deep understanding of software testing principles, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing. Tool Proficiency: Jira, Bitbucket pipelines, Git/Bitbucket, and other QA and DevOps tools. Database Skills: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle/Elasticsearch/MongoDB preferred). Environment Management: Skilled in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting test environments. Test Data Management: Ability to design and maintain effective test data strategies. Metrics & Reporting: Competence in defining, tracking, and analyzing QA metrics to measure quality and productivity. Leadership & Management Skills Team leadership, coaching, and performance management for QA professionals. Strategic planning and roadmap ownership for QA processes and automation. Proven ability to scale QA operations across manual and automated testing. Clear, confident communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Development, and DevOps teams. Ability to foster a user-focused testing mindset across teams. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills Strong analytical mindset for identifying risks, prioritizing testing, and improving processes. Keen attention to detail with a commitment to defect reproducibility and accuracy. Creative problem-solver capable of introducing new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve QA effectiveness. Domain Knowledge Familiarity with real estate technology or other complex, data-driven industries. Understanding of industry-specific compliance, performance, and usability requirements. Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years in software QA, including 3–5+ years in a leadership role (preferably 5+ as QA Manager) Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks Expertise with Jira, Bitbucket pipelines, and version control (Git/Bitbucket) Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL (Elasticsearch, MongoDB, etc.) database systems Proven success hiring, mentoring, and managing high-performing QA teams Deep knowledge of QA methodologies, test planning, defect tracking, and release readiness Skilled at scaling QA processes for both manual and automated testing Strong collaboration skills with Product, Development, and DevOps teams Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills Preferred Advanced test data management and environment stability expertise Experience introducing and scaling new QA tools and methodologies Familiarity with agile environments, sprint planning, and backlog grooming Passion for delivering high-quality, user-focused solutions in complex, data-driven domains (real estate tech a plus) Flexibility to work occasional evenings/weekends for critical deadlines Culture Daily Standup Meetings Casual Work Environment Employee Appreciation Events Hybrid & Remote Work Environment
