Internetwork Expert
Responsible for processing, tool layouts, and programming of CNC multi-axis machines. Including:
Proposals: Create proposal for new parts from customer print, indicating appropriate machine tool, material, cycle time/parts per hour, tooling cost, subsequent operations, and outside services needed.
Documentation, tool layout, and offset print: Create tool layout sheet specifying all tooling and hardware needed to setup a specific job in a specific machine tool.
C.N.C. programming, process engineering: Create machining process, including sequence of operations, machine tool selection, cutting tool selection, work holding selection, and appropriate machining processes.
Train personnel on machine setup, machine operation, and machine repair for all Index and C.N.C. department machinery.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor and improve cycle time and process capability on all C.N.C. machines.
Perform machine setups when department is behind or when setup person is absent.
Corrective action and problem solving: Attend corrective action meetings with quality control to provide technical solutions to process inefficiencies and quality concerns.
Troubleshoot and repair machinery: Seek advice from machine manufacturer when unable to resolve issues ourselves, and locate and secure most economical replacement components needed for machine repair.
Manufacture repair and replacement parts for machine tools.
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of machine programming experience
Knowledge of machining processing and CNC machines
Knowledge of blue print reading, GDT, inspection equipment, and tooling
Good communication and interpersonal skills
