Remote About the Role
AECOM is seeking a Sr. Wetlands/Soils and Natural Resource Scientist to join our Environmental Planning & Permitting Practice in New England. Responsibilities include conducting field wetlands and biological surveys, wetland delineation, soils taxonomy, biological inventory (botanical or wildlife), scientific report writing, and regulatory interpretation. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team supporting field investigations and permit applications for power sector projects, including electric transmission, renewables (land-based offshore wind energy, solar, and battery storage), and other sectors such as industrial, state, local, and federal projects. This is a remote/hybrid position focused on CT, Western/Central MA, and RI. Serving as a Biological Monitor and Environmental Inspector during construction on an intermittent basis is a plus. Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: BS in Biology, Soils Science, Plant Science, Environmental Science, Geology, or related discipline with 4+ years of experience or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License and ability to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review. Preferred Qualifications: Registration as a Professional Soil Scientist and/or a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), with permit application experience in CT, MA, or RI. Familiarity with environmental regulatory programs in these states. 7+ years of experience is preferred. Additional Information
Relocation is not available. Sponsorship is available. Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $110,000 based on location and experience. About the Company
