Overview As the Analytical R&D Associate Scientist, you are accountable for driving results by supporting manufacturing activities through phase specific method development and method validation activities. The Analytical Scientist will execute the development of analytical methods and improve existing methods to support our active pharmaceutical ingredients development program. The Associate Scientist II works closely with a multifunctional team to support quality control and chemical research and development groups.

Responsibilities

Execute development of analytical methods and improvement of existing ones to support API development program for Sterling facilities with supervision.

Draft and execute validation protocols for analytical methods with supervision.

Perform and review data analysis and drafts reports for analytical method development and validation with supervision.

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment with supervision.

Write project documentation (Analytical test methods, developmental reports and protocols) of medium complexity with supervision.

Establish and coordinate activities at contract chemical and analytical laboratories, as required.

Ensure timely completion and compliance with cGMP and all other relevant company training requirements.

Proven ability to apply scientific principles, theories and concepts to research problems and develop solutions for analytical problems related to drug substances in compliance with appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines.

Demonstrate technical ability to assist in the design and execution of non-routine experiments with supervision.

Requirements for the role

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline such as analytical chemistry, or related field with 3-5 years of experience or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline such as analytical chemistry, or related field, with minimum of 0-2 years of industrial experience required.
