Job Description: Essential Job Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The Environmental Manager’s key duties include the following: Review and modify improvements to environmental guidelines and procedures. Lead regulatory agency site visits and audits. Oversee new environmental permit application. Manage internal environmental audits. Direct environmental compliance efforts related to air, water, waste, and wetlands regulations. Complete all actions required by the Compliance Audit Program. Develop and implement daily emission reports. Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting including but not limited to Boiler MACT, RATA, HON MACT, Applicable LDAR, Title V, Annual Criteria & Toxics Emissions Reporting, Greenhouse Gas, TSCA, Tier II, State and Federal Waste, Discharge Monitoring, SPCC, RMP, and other applicable environmental compliance reporting. Maintain a working relationship with local environmental agencies. Monitor and coordinate site waste sampling, profiling, and other disposal processes in compliance with state and federal waste regulations. Negotiate environmental service agreements and manage associated costs. Ensures proper tracking and evaluation of safety and environmental compliance assurance activities and information. Promote and raise awareness of the impact of emerging environmental issues at all organizational levels. Develop, implement, and train the team on environmental compliance. Facilitate environmental training for all employee levels. Always present a professional image to clients and vendors and maintain the company's positive reputation. Follow all relevant company policies and procedures. Assist other departments and administrative personnel as necessary. Perform other tasks as assigned. Qualifications Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations None required. Education, Experience, and/or Training A bachelor’s degree in environmental science or engineering is required. Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in a manufacturing plant environment preferred. Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in air and water permits is required. Previous experience as an Environmental Manager is preferred. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities High-level knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations impacting the Chemical Manufacturing sector, emphasizing OSHA General Industry and TCEQ regulatory permitting and compliance assurance processes. Teamwork Oriented. Problem Solving/Analysis. Results Driven. Effective communication. Technical capacity to understand general operations, maintenance, and processes. Special Requirements Tools / Equipment Basic Computer hardware Environmental reporting tools and equipment Software Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Training Management, and Compliance Assurance programs required Working knowledge of PI Vision software Physical Ability to lift over 20 lbs. occasionally. The ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required. Ability to effectively communicate through various means required. Must pass the required OSHA physical evaluations necessary to participate as a Natgasoline ERT member. Some work is performed within an office environment, including office equipment, such as computers, telephones, and copiers. Requires consistent fieldwork at times in extreme weather conditions Noise levels are typically moderate but may be at elevated levels when conducting field activities Work Schedule Regular 40-hour work week, or 9/80 schedule. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. May work longer hours to meet deadlines as necessary or to support facility emergencies Travel Less than 10% of the time. Natgasoline LLC is a world scale methanol production facility located in Beaumont, Texas and is a joint venture between Houston, Texas based,Proman USA , and Vancouver Canada based , Methanex . Natgasoline began operations in June 2018 and is the most efficient and largest methanol production facility in the US, producing over 1.7 million metric tons per year. Strategic Location with Strong Distribution and Logistics Natgasoline is strategically located on the Texas Gulf Coast with access to Neches River for domestic and international shipments. Natgasoline has partnered with Phillips 66 for terminal storage and loading of marine vessels, as well as, pipeline transport to the terminal. The facility is also located near six natural gas interstate pipelines which provide access to several liquid trading pools for its feedstock. Natgasoline is also located near the Lower Neches Valley Authority canal system for plentiful access to its other feedstock, raw water. Community Partner Natgasoline has made a strong commitment to seek employees and partner with vendors from Beaumont/Golden Triangle regional area. Additionally, we have developed relationships with Lamar University, Lamar Institute of Technology and Lamar State College to create internship programs to develop new employees.
