The Department of Psychology in the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences at Radford University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in School Psychology within our M.S./Ed.S. program starting in Fall 2026. Area of specialization is open. Responsibilities

Teaching graduate courses in our NASP Accredited school psychology program and mentoring graduate students in a program committed to ecological-oriented, comprehensive service delivery. Supervising assessment and intervention services provided by our graduate students within our practicum sequence. Engaging in a productive and independent line of research. Participating in program, department, college, and university service activities. Teaching and mentoring undergraduate students within the psychology department as part of duties may be included for the assistant and associate rank. Qualifications

A doctoral degree in school psychology, combined clinical or counseling and school psychology, or educational psychology with specialization in school psychology from an APA-accredited and/or NASP-approved program (ABD applicants will be considered; degree to be obtained by August 10, 2026). Evidence of potential for independent scholarship. Evidence of potential for effective teaching. Candidates should have completed the doctoral degree by the August 10, 2026 start date. About the Program

Students in our 3-year school psychology program earn both an M.S. degree in Psychology and an Ed.S. degree in School Psychology. Unique aspects of our program include completing a neurodevelopmental practicum in our clinic during the first year, options for study abroad, and earning competency certifications in areas such as PREPaRE, ASIST, executive function coaching, ASD assessment, and trauma-informed CBT. The program has existed since 1967 and became an Education Specialist program in 1978. The Psychology Department also offers a large bachelor’s program and a master’s with options in Experimental and Industrial-Organizational Psychology. The psychology faculty is committed to providing a supportive and collaborative environment for building a successful career.
