The Fischer Lab is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to explore the biology of the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which regulates protein turnover and plays a crucial role in health and disease. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge structural, chemical, and computational tools to uncover how proteins are targeted for degradation and how these processes can be harnessed for therapeutic development. The lab is internationally recognized for its interdisciplinary approach and close integration with clinical research. Responsibilities
Perform research focused on the biology of the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Utilize structural, chemical, and computational methods to investigate how proteins are targeted for degradation and assess implications for therapeutic development. Collaborate with team members and clinicians to design experiments, interpret data, and contribute to advancing the lab’s research goals. Prepare and contribute to scientific reports and manuscripts as part of the research output. PhD in biology, biochemistry, structural biology, or related discipline. Evidence of strong scientific productivity, demonstrated by publications or conference presentations. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team. Familiarity with protein biochemistry, proteomics, or structural biology. Experience in cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, or chemical biology is highly desirable.
