We are seeking a Senior IAM Security Engineer with strong experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and a background in the banking domain.
The ideal candidate will possess a blend of development and L3 support skills, with hands-on experience in tools such as SiteMinder, Okta (or similar), and IAM platforms.
This role involves designing secure authentication systems, supporting production environments, and contributing to the development of scalable identity solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain scalable IAM systems including login, MFA, SSO, identity federation, and certificate-based authentication.
Develop secure, efficient, and testable code for both client-side and server-side architectures.
Analyze, design, and develop test automation suites and maintain software functionality.
Participate in code reviews and integrate software components into fully functional systems.
Apply security and privacy principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery and integration across systems.
Provide application and user support, including troubleshooting, testing, and post-implementation reviews.
Support and optimize distributed caching platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Troubleshoot production issues from a development perspective and provide timely support.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of U.S.-based experience in IAM security engineering. Recent experience in the banking or financial services domain. Strong hands-on experience with: SiteMinder IAM/IAS platforms Okta or similar identity providers Experience in both L3 support and development roles. Proficiency in programming and scripting for secure system development. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with REST microservices, micro frontends, and SOAP-based authentication and authorization. Familiarity with distributed caching strategies and performance optimization.
