Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Staff Integration and Test Engineer – C2BMC Integration Lab (CIL) Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO, and/or Schriever Space Force Base, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. Essential Functions: Responsible for decisions that drive critical capabilities and organizational objectives

Advises top management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications

May function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts

Responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed

Coordinate the planning and execution of major integration projects for the Product Integration Team

Identify a roadmap for lab infrastructure evolution and work towards achieving that vision

Create, maintain, and present KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise

Familiarity in integrating components of C2BMC Global and Regional Assets

Documentation and verification of all installation and configuration steps in the documentation to be delivered to the customer

Develop installation scripts to automate the system installation

Develop test plans/procedures for conducting software integration tests, be responsible for integration/execution, detailed data analysis, and preparation of software test reports

Coordinate execution of SW integration tests to verify system operation

Support requests from and work with software developers as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during software integration

Submit problem reports for errors found

Responsible for implementing all system Information Assurance directives, including running IA scans

Task and coordinate daily integration activities

Prepare documentation and conduct software releases in accordance with program release processes

Coordinate Buildout & Sustainment, Integration, and testing efforts, as well as planning and tracking with Agile Scrum Masters

Coordinate with the Buildout & Sustainment team to maximize the testing environment's operability

Delegate tasks to subordinates and train individuals on C2BMC-centric concepts through testing

Understanding of C2BMC’s mission and the Systems Engineering Life Cycle

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 12 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and 10 years of experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience

Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application

DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher is required to start

Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs

Installation and configuration of Linux and Windows HW platforms from the OS to the C2BMC-developed applications

Strong troubleshooting experience with complex systems and architectures

Strong understanding of the 8.2 C2BMC baseline and the future CIMI goal

Strong understanding of infrastructure and networks under the C2BMC architecture

Experience with integration of procedures and processes across engineering disciplines

Ability to adapt to constant change and communicate and coordinate across engineering disciplines

Integrating complex applications on Windows and Unix/Linux platforms

Linux and Windows system administration, including installing and configuring systems from the OS level up

Network administration, including installing and configuring network devices from the OS level up

VMWare systems administration and installation

Information Assurance policies and procedures and the ability to apply IA requirements to an existing system

PowerShell/Bash/Korn scripting languages

Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools

Ability to read and troubleshoot application source code

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change

CAM/EVM training

Must be able to write clear, concise system installation and configuration instructions

Experience writing installation manuals

Preferred Qualifications: Use of Git Version Control System is a plus

Familiarity with Java and object-oriented development is a plus

Knowledge/expertise in the C2BMC operations and user interface concept

Good communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships

$128,500 - $192,700 The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
