We are currently seeking an experienced Engineer to act as a technical resource and provide work direction to an engineering staff focused on distribution system engineering, system planning, and/or substation engineering functions to ensure a safe, reliable, and economical distribution system.
Key Responsibilities & Results • Provide supervision and leadership to a team of engineers • Manage annual line construction capital budget • Perform and/or coordinate distribution engineering studies • Engineer and coordinate substation modification and expansion projects • Specific functional duties will depend on successful candidate’s experience Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education • BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license • 5+ years’ progressive experience in various aspects of electric distribution utility engineering • Knowledge of the operation of electrical distribution system • Working knowledge of National Electric Safety Code • Strong organizational skills with ability to lead people and to inspire a team • Able to clearly communicate information and ideas both verbally and written • Strong customer service skills, both for internal and external customers • Ability to learn and utilize enterprise software applications such as GIS, WAMS, SCADA, CIS, EA, CAD, and other specific application software Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education • Experience working with GIS, WAMS, SCADA, CIS, EA, CAD, and other specific application software SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONS
Does candidate have BSEE? Does candidate have PE? Does candidate reside in the upper midwest or have roots there? Does candidate have 7-10 years of engineering experience with electric distribution systems? IDEAL CANDIDATE BSEE, PE, experienced in electric distribution engineering (system planning, system engineering, or substation engineering). Has upper Midwest roots. Additional Information
