The ATL (Advanced Technology Lab) is located outside of Baltimore, Maryland, where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products for internal and commercial production customers as well as emerging technology programs. Our multidisciplinary foundry team enables activities from development to sustainment process engineering. ATL covers all aspects of semiconductor technology including design, mask making, wafer fabrication, testing, and assembly. The
Associate
Semiconductor RF Test Engineer
will support development and execution of RF test for multiple technologies including GaN, GaAs, SiGe and SiC. The role includes understanding test requirements, documenting test plans, and developing necessary software and hardware solutions. Responsibilities include test software and hardware development, daily and forward-looking test scheduling, test data integrity, equipment/software improvements, and supporting procurement of test equipment. Additional duties include ensuring configuration control of test software and hardware, maintaining test quality, documentation quality, calibration of test equipment, and compliance with customer documents (e.g., Source Control Documents). Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Assist with development and execution of RF tests across GaN, GaAs, SiGe and SiC technologies; understand test requirements, document test plans, and develop software and hardware solutions.
Manage test software/hardware development, daily and forward-looking test scheduling, data integrity, equipment improvements, and procurement support for test equipment.
Ensure configuration control of test software and hardware, maintain test quality and test documentation, calibrate equipment, and comply with customer documents.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders (verbal and written).
Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree with 1 year of related experience
Direct semiconductor RF test engineering experience
Software skills in a modern language such as C#, Python, C++ or Java
Experience designing test procedures with LabView
U.S. Citizenship required
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications Experience with wafer or die testing
Hands-on experience building/repairing/tuning RF test hardware
Experience preparing and presenting presentations to cross-functional teams

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,600.00 - $106,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate\'s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary offers.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides benefits including health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays and paid time off for vacation and/or personal business.
