Medical Director
to join our correctional healthcare team at the
Shelby County Jail . This isn't your typical medical job — it's a chance to provide essential care, lead a team, and work with purpose… all in just
one short day a week . What You'll Do:
Provide
oversight and direction
for on-site medical services delivered by our full-time nursing staff Review charts, prescribe medications, and see patients
as needed during your weekly visit Support and supervise
clinical staff, upholding high-quality standards of care Remain available
to nursing staff for phone consults or direction (limited, low volume) No insurance billing. No paperwork overload. No malpractice costs. Why Join SHP?

Licensed MD or DO
in the state of Alabama Background in
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine Must be able to pass
