Overview
Brock & Scott is a regional Creditors’ Rights law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to oversee legal matters from inception through post-judgment remedies. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality legal representation, treat all clients with fairness and respect, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a fully remote position with a hybrid component, requiring occasional court appearances and onsite meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrates exceptional legal research, writing and oral communication skills. Handles high-volume caseload and provides expert analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks. Negotiates with opposing counsel to achieve final resolution of cases. Willing to travel to various courts within the state of Georgia, if needed, as legal representation in various legal proceedings and to attend court hearings. Works with the Managing Attorney to report all activity and results.
Position Requirements
0-3 years’ experience in bankruptcy/collection or civil law litigation, attending court proceedings and associated regulations. J.D. from an accredited law school with an Active license to practice law in GA. A license to practice law in other states in our footprint (GA, SC, TN, FL, VA, MD, MI, OH) or UBE passage is a plus but not mandatory. Skilled in the ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Exemplary oral and written communication skills. Outstanding Time Management skills
Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including a sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 for qualified candidates.
