JOB DESCRIPTION
HOURS:
Approximately 32 hours per week (to include client sessions, administrative, meetings) Position Summary:
As a
full-time Christian Counselor
at Restoration Place Counseling, you will minister through clinical and biblical counseling techniques to girls and women, age 12 and up, who are seeking help for a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, relational issues, trauma, spiritual issues and concerns, identity and more. This position is responsible for delivering Christ-centered counseling services consistent with the ministry’s mission, vision, and beliefs, as well as evidence-based clinical interventions, to empower our clients to find emotional and spiritual healing and to embrace their God-given identity. Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide a consistent Christian witness including compliance with all culture docs and Christian conduct expectations. Provide therapy to individuals at regularly scheduled intervals to meet the clinical needs of the client. Complete an initial intake that includes assessing and diagnosing the client, if applicable. Complete the required documentation in practice management software (TheraNest) to monitor the identified client’s progress and ensure that all documentation is in the client’s file within the time frame established by agency (24 hours). Rely on experience and judgment to create a treatment plan and goals, focusing on root causes from a holistic perspective with a biblical understanding of the human person. Help clients to become healed and whole emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally. Acting as an instrument of the Holy Spirit, appropriately incorporate Christian disciplines (such as prayer, forgiveness, Scripture reading) into the therapeutic process. Routinely and formally solicit feedback from clients regarding the therapeutic alliance and outcome of care using two brief measures (ORS/SRS). Work collaboratively with other members of client’s treatment team (psychiatrist, medical doctor, family members, significant others as identified by the client). Maintain positive working relationships with referral sources and community organizations. Protect the client’s confidential information. Complete all non-clinical administrative duties and tasks in a timely and professional manner (such as email correspondence, turning in paperwork, etc.). Prepare for, attend, and participate in individual and group supervision, in-house trainings, and staff meetings. Provide a Christian devotional at Staff or Supervision group meetings, upon request. Participate in devotionals led by other Staff members. Qualifications:
Any candidate for the position of Full-Time Christian Counselor at Restoration Place Counseling shall have received Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and enjoy a personal relationship with Him; shall believe that the Bible is the inerrant, infallible, and inspired Word of God and standard for faith and daily living; shall faithfully attend a local Bible-believing church; and shall be in whole-hearted agreement with the organization’s Statement of Faith, Doctrinal Distinctives, Cultural Documents, and Christian Counseling philosophy. Other Qualifications Required : LCMHC or LCMHC-A in the state of NC (LMFT and LCSW credentials are accepted also). Preferred : Degree received from an accredited Christian Counseling program and/or experience practicing counseling with an integration of Christian faith.
