Overview
Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor, Cancer Epidemiology College of Public Health, Department of Epidemiology, University of South Florida. The Department invites applications for three tenure-track faculty positions in Cancer Epidemiology: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. All three positions will have their academic home in Epidemiology and will collaborate with the Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Cancer Institute to advance cancer research, prevention, early detection, treatment outcomes, survivorship, health equity, and cancer-related public health genomics using molecular, clinical, behavioral, environmental, or policy-relevant approaches. The Professor will serve as Director of the Cancer Control, Prevention, and Epidemiology Program at the TGH Cancer Institute and lead cross-institutional initiatives with a focus on cancer surveillance, implementation science, health equity, and public health genomics, while mentoring junior faculty and trainees. Responsibilities
The Professor: lead cross-institutional initiatives in cancer prevention, surveillance, implementation science, health equity, and public health genomics; direct the Cancer Control, Prevention, and Epidemiology Program at the TGH Cancer Institute; mentor junior faculty and trainees; demonstrate a record of sustained extramural funding, impactful publications, and leadership in collaborative cancer research. The Associate Professor: contribute as a senior member of the cancer epidemiology program; work with the Director and Assistant Professor to grow the program’s research portfolio and translational impact; maintain a sustained record of extramural funding, publications, and teaching of graduate students or equivalent trainees where applicable. The Assistant Professor: contribute as a junior member to grow the program’s research portfolio and translational and population-based impact; show scholarly activity and potential for extramural funding; engage in instruction of undergraduate students or equivalent trainees and mentor graduate students where applicable. All three positions: provide evidence of engagement in academic and/or public health service at the institutional, professional, or community level. About the Department and USF COPH
