Overview
The Department of Economics at the University of Virginia invites applications for a full-time faculty position on the tenure track, beginning August 10, 2026, at the Assistant Professor rank. We will consider candidates in all fields of economics.
Responsibilities
Build and extend a top-tier research portfolio, including developing external funding to support research endeavors.
Contribute to the intellectual community of economists at the University.
Qualifications
Candidates in all fields of economics will be considered for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position.
Strong research potential and ability to advance the department’s mission.

Prior to extending an offer, the department may request additional information from candidates, including letters of reference.
