Duties and Responsibilities
Center Administration (35%)
Manage daily office operations supporting HISBDC and RCUH guidelines, tailored to clients, advisors, interns, and volunteers.
Handle client intake, review SBA forms, assist with workshops, and manage inquiries.
Coordinate with six other HISBDC offices for consistency in operations and reporting.
Arrange logistics for meetings and networking events.
Process RCUH requests, maintain records for equipment and supplies.
Conduct cost analysis, manage procurement over $5,000, and complete requisitions and payments.
Organize and maintain files, reports, and financial records.
Serve as petty cash custodian (max $300).
Customer and Client Service, Outreach, and Community Relations (35%)
Provide client support via phone, in-person, email, and text.
Maintain and audit client databases.
Organize outreach events with SBA and partners, and create communications materials adhering to branding standards.
Client Research and Analysis (20%)
Respond to inquiries, provide preliminary analyses like business plan reviews, financial projections, feasibility and market studies, and assist with loan/grant applications.
Administration (10%)
Perform administrative duties compliant with laws and reporting requirements.
Participate in public relations and meetings.
Other duties as assigned (5%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 2 years of responsible office experience, or equivalent education/experience.
Knowledge of small business practices in Hawaii.
Understanding of laws, regulations, and systems for small businesses.
Problem recognition and resolution skills.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with computer software, including MS Office, Adobe, Canva, Google, Zoom, and others.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Desirable Qualifications
3+ years in office/business administration.
Presentation skills for events.
Experience with multi-ethnic populations, marketing, project management.
Knowledge of Center IC and Constant Contact platforms.
Understanding of Hawaii’s business environment.
