As an independent division within Barry-Wehmiller Design Group, Inc., ControlTech Automation (CTA) specializes in control panels for process, packaging, utility, and other industries. Based in St. Louis, CTA provides control solutions for single pieces of equipment, entire processes, and complete plants, building panels from customer-supplied design packages. We are seeking an experienced HR professional to serve as the sole Human Resources Generalist for our manufacturing facility supporting approximately 158 employees. This is a

contract opportunity . The role requires a versatile HR coordinator who can work independently while aligning with corporate HR policies and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to plant leadership and a champion for our manufacturing workforce. Responsibilities include:

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (25%) : Partner with the recruiting team for staffing, manage full-cycle recruitment, establish relationships with local educational and workforce organizations, oversee onboarding. HRIS & Data Management (25%) : Maintain employee data, generate reports, ensure data integrity, process personnel actions, manage shift assignments, support annual HR processes. Safety & Training Coordination (20%) : Collaborate with safety team on training compliance, maintain training records, support accident investigations, deliver supervisor training. Employee Relations & Compliance (5%) : Handle onboarding, employee relations, investigations, ensure legal compliance, conduct exit interviews. Benefits & LOA Administration (5%) : Coordinate benefits activities, manage leave questions, liaise with leave teams. Strategic HR Partnership (5%) : Support change management, participate in HR initiatives, analyze HR metrics, serve as People Team Champion. General Administration (5%) : Coordinate company events, act as payroll contact. Qualifications:

Required:

Bachelor's degree, at least 2 years HR experience, knowledge of employment law, experience with recruiting and onboarding, staffing agency experience, proficiency in HRIS and MS Office. Preferred:

Manufacturing HR experience, safety program knowledge, HR certifications, bilingual skills, continuous improvement knowledge, support for multi-shift operations. Core Competencies:
