Manager, Talent Acquisition

Odyssey Systems is currently seeking a Manager in our Talent Acquisition team supporting our Aviation portfolio in the greater Eglin AFB area. This role leads and manages talent acquisition efforts, collaborates with business units to attract, engage, and retain top talent, and oversees a team of talent acquisition professionals. It requires leadership, interpersonal skills, and strategic vision. This is a full-time role with a three day a week requirement in the office. Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned portfolio, maintaining open, positive communication with internal teams and external partners. Lead and manage direct reports, including: assigning tasks and responsibilities; providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities; ensuring compliance with best practices and company policies; offering backup support when team members are on PTO, sick, or attending career events; approving weekly time sheets. Establish and facilitate regular Talent Acquisition update meetings with Operations to ensure collaborative, solution-oriented discussions. Generate and provide iCIMS reports or metrics to Operations or other key stakeholders; clearly communicate insights and actionable items. Participate in Request For Proposal (RFP) kick-off meetings, establishing a Talent Acquisition cadence to meet proposal deadlines. Collaborate with stakeholders to address resource needs for surge coverage and high-priority deadlines; maintain a team-oriented, solution-focused approach. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, fostering strong relationships and developing tailored recruitment strategies. Maximize the use of existing Talent Acquisition tools, technology, and databases; recommend process improvements. Maintain regular 1:1 meetings with the Director of Talent Acquisition to discuss strategy, priorities, and challenges. Provide recognition and appreciation to team members and partners contributing to mission success. Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle: job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, offer negotiations; ensure a positive candidate experience. Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates; ensure open communication and a respectful, engaging experience. Track and analyze recruitment metrics; identify areas for continuous improvement and address obstacles. Stay informed on industry trends and best practices; share knowledge with team and broader organization. Represent the organization at career fairs and networking events to identify and attract qualified talent. Promote the company brand, culture, and opportunities; position Odyssey as an employer of choice. Ensure accurate tracking of candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance. Qualifications

Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Years of Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition with at least five (5) years of people management experience. Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and employment laws; strong organizational skills; proficiency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools (iCIMS); data-driven with ability to track and improve metrics; experience with DoD/Government sourcing for Engineering and Acquisition Program Management positions; highly professional and discreet handling of confidential information; strategic thinker and collaborative with a focus on results. Interpersonal Skills:
Collaborative mindset; strong communication and relationship-building skills; effective in presenting ideas; capable of navigating formal and informal networks; able to manage conflict and adapt based on feedback. Additional Information
