PRIMARY DUTY The Payroll Specialist oversees the administration of the company\'s bi-weekly payroll for both non-exempt and exempt employees. This includes collecting and auditing payroll data with attention to detail to maintain data integrity and accuracy. The role also processes change forms, assists with union dues deductions, and partners with HR and leadership to ensure compliance with union CBAs, minimum wage, I-9 requirements, and other payroll-related policies. Assists with various reporting requests including those for union contacts. Oversees the union dues deductions process and setup for newly acquired accounts. Assists with annual and intermittent union increases in partnership with leadership. Processes various union contributions such as HWP, employee reimbursements, and bonuses. Oversees the minimum wage process by reviewing employee data and presenting recommendations and back bill information to leadership; processes increases. Communicates payroll information and deadlines to leadership and other stakeholders. Processes all change forms and screens time-worked inputs to ensure timely and accurate pay. Maintains data integrity through regular audits in the HRIS platform and applies necessary corrections. Leads I-9 compliance in partnership with leadership to ensure onboarding records integrity. Fields and resolves payroll inquiries in collaboration with leadership. Defines and participates in payroll initiatives to improve processes and reduce expenditures. Identifies errors and trends and communicates insights to leadership for training and improvement. Maintains knowledge of applicable payroll laws and regulations and ensures cross-department coordination. Represents Yona Solutions professionally; follows instructions and cooperates with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and client staff. Performs other duties as directed and complies with all policies and procedures. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor\'s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience required. At least two years of related experience required. Strong computer skills required, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. SHRM-CP credential preferred.
