Cooper Levenson is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team of professionals in our Cherry Hill office. Experience in Workers’ Compensation law and bar admission in the State of New Jersey. Additional bar admission in the State of Pennsylvania is helpful. Responsibilities
Assists Attorney in initial case evaluation and development of litigation strategy. Builds relationships with clients, TPAs, insurers, and employers to ensure prompt case resolution and client satisfaction. Evaluates the merits of a workers’ compensation claim. Conducts extensive legal research and drafts correspondences, pleadings, appeals and appellate briefs. Drafts and responds to written discovery requests. Reviews medical records. Prepares for and attends trials. Represents clients in various legal proceedings, including discovery, motions, and trials. Assists in preparing settlement agreements, motions, and briefs. Performs other related duties, as assigned. Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school. Admission to New Jersey Bar. Additional admission to Pennsylvania Bar, helpful. 1-3 years’ experience in NJ Workers’ Compensation, preferred. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced practice, required. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software programs. Cooper Levenson is an equal opportunity employer.
